Buc-ee's has become a popular fueling stop for many businesses because of its competitive fuel prices, clean locations, DEF at the pump, and quick food options for drivers. However, not every fuel card works there, even some popular cards that advertise universal acceptance.
In this guide, we break down which fuel cards are accepted at Buc-ee’s, which cards are not accepted, whether Buc-ee's offers its own business fuel card, and why many businesses choose to fuel at Buc-ee's.
Buc-ee's accepts fuel cards that run on the Fuelman, Mastercard, and Visa fuel networks. Here are some of the most common fuel cards that operate on those networks.
| Fuel Card | Fuel Network |
| CFN | Fuelman |
| Fuelman | Fuelman |
| Comdata Mastercard | Mastercard |
| EFS Fleet Mastercard | Mastercard |
| Mudflap | Visa |
| Coast | Visa |
| AtoB | Mastercard |
| RoadFlex | Visa |
| RCPA | Mastercard |
| Motive | Mastercard |
| Corpay | Fuelman |
| Pacific Pride | Fuelman |
Two of the most common fuel cards people assume will work at Buc-ee's are WEX and Voyager because they’re accepted at most fuel stations nationwide. However, WEX and Voyager fuel cards do not work at Buc-ee’s locations.
Most over-the-road (OTR) trucking fuel cards also won’t work at Buc-ee’s unless the card has a Visa or Mastercard logo on it. However, that doesn’t really matter since Buc-ee’s does not allow semi-trucks at its locations anyway. This includes many proprietary Comdata, EFS, and Fleet One cards that are built mainly for truck stops and closed-loop fuel networks.
No, Buc-ee's does not currently offer a dedicated fleet fuel card for businesses. They do offer the Buc-ee's Platinum Mastercard through TDECU, which provides a 5% discount on fuel and in-store purchases at Buc-ee's locations. However, it functions as a standard consumer credit card and does not include the purchase controls, driver restrictions, or reporting features that business fleet fuel cards provide.
Buc-ee’s prohibits semi-trucks from fueling or parking at its locations. Most other commercial vehicles are allowed, so it’s common to see box trucks, construction trucks with trailers, service vans, and other company vehicles fueling at Buc-ee's locations.
Buc-ee's is usually known as a road trip stop for travelers, but it’s also a popular fueling stop for many company drivers. Here are a few reasons why business drivers like fueling at Buc-ee’s:
If you don't already have a fuel card that works at Buc-ee's, choose a fuel card from the accepted list above and apply for it to start fueling at Buc-ee's.
