California gas prices decreased 11.1 cents per gallon compared to last month, settling in at an average of $4.418 for unleaded statewide as of today.
Unleaded prices at retail gas stations in California are 2.5 cents less than a week ago and 23.3 cents less than this time last year, according to AAA. Current California gas prices are far below a record $6.438 set on June 14 of last year.
Diesel prices in California also decreased compared to last month by 5.6 cents per gallon. The average price for diesel fuel statewide is $5.622 as of today, 4.6 cents less than last week. Compared to this time last year, the average price for diesel is 80.4 cents higher but still below a record $7.011 set on June 18 of last year.
